America is indeed a theocracy, operated by the bar associations' "educated" elite.
The undue influence of bar association domination is ruining America the same way theocracy has plunged Iran into oppression.This control gravely endangers common people's rights and freedoms, as they have to climb a repressive hierarchy's ladder instead of being judged on their merits without the intrusion of interpretive law.
In Iran, there are elections and a press nearly as free as today's corporate American media. Iran's economy is capitalistic, the military is controlled by elected officials, and daily bureaucratic issues are handled by nonclerics.Iran even has a non-cleric head of state.
Let's not be naïve. The clergy holds the trump card in Iran. The same is true for the bar associations in America and the military in Pakistan since its beginning. Similar to the Iranian clergy, there is much fragmentation, infighting and divergent viewpoints among attorneys. But their purpose is clear: Their reign and lordship over the people and the law must be supreme.
