Dividing the Role Of Legislator-(Referendums) Session Seventeen

For Official Referendum Proposers on a local level, only U.S. and state citizens who are 25 years of age and older should be allowed to serve in this capacity. That official must have his/her official address in that specific locality for the last five years.

For Official Referendum Proposers on a state level, only U.S. and state citizens who are 30 years of age and older should be allowed to serve in this capacity. That official must have his/her official address in that specific state for the last five years.

For Official Referendum Proposers on a federal level, only U.S. and state citizens who are 35 years of age and older should be allowed to serve in this capacity. 


Cliff Notes Version: All local referendum proposers must be US and state citizens who are 25 or older. They must be a registered addressee of that locality.

All state referendum proposers must be US and state citizens who are 30 or older. They must be a registered addressee of that state. 

Federal referendum proposers must be US and state citizens who are 35 or older.
