The Only Solution To America's Economic Demise-By Harsha Sankar

Dear Fellow American, June 2006

As many political candidates lament about significant job loss, since 2000 the following has occured.

1. A huge rise in imported advanced technology products.
2. 2.9 million manufacturing jobs, 17% of the workforce, gone.
3. America experienced a net job loss of 7 million in pace with population growth.
4. The information jobs never came. Telecommunications experienced 25% job loss.
5. Only 70,000 architectural and engineering jobs were created. The majority were clerical.
6. As millions of American engineers languish in unemployment lines, law school graduates are receiving record starting salaries and experienced tax attorneys charge $200.00-$300.00 an
hour. As insurance and retirement plans are "forced purchases", finance's upper echelon boast skyrocketing pay.
7. Not one oil refinery has been upgraded in 15 years. India will soon boast the world's largest refinery.
8. US dependency is now importing twice as many manufactured goods as oil.
9. Only government, legal, credit counseling, healthcare, bartending, waitressing, and social services have seen significant growth.
10. Cuba is now where Europeans go for cancer treatment.
India conducts 60,000 surgeries for people in America and Britain.

People must realize banning members of one government branch from participating in another is the permanent remedy to assure job restoration.
