The Real Reason America Is Hyped Over Iran-By Harsha Sankar

Dear Citizen, March 2006

A complete media blackout exists on Iran. The real issue is petrodollars and not nukes.

Iran will float by July its Euro-denominated energy exchange. The U.S. Dollar will no longer be exclusively used for international petroleum transactions. The American owned International Petroleum Exchange and New York Mercantile Exchange will now face stiff competition from the internet-operable Iran Oil Bourse.

Iran has voluntarily submitted to intrusive inspections. Yet no evidence of nuclear weaponry has been discovered. Intelligence agencies believe Iran is 5-10 years away from manufacturing the necessary ingredient. As North Korea and Israel possess nukes, politicians and journalists are frenzied over this democracy. If billions in oil sales are conducted in foreign currencies, USD demand would evaporate. The heavily indebted economy, artificially inflated by foreigners possessing 40% of American currency, would regress significantly.

Saddam's Iraq switched to the Euro. The petrodollar was later reinstated. Yet the elected Shia government may abandon USD's in unison with their Shiite neighbor. Venezuela and Syria intend to dump the greenback. No wonder these nations are targeted.

Limiting private influence over public policy and law is imperative to restrain and discipline those who abusively wield it.

Very Truly Yours,
