Public Balloting Is The Spark Plug To Restore Representative Governance-Part One

For the first 120 years after the Declaration Of Independence, America required its electorate to cast its ballots publicly. After 125 years of secret balloting, America needs to start implementing what the Founding Fathers really wanted it to do in terms of voting.

The reason why all voting must be publicly revealed is simple. It is based on the core principle of governance itself. When it comes to governance, individualistic and partial group mindset should never apply. Individualism should be the mode of activity outside the realm of governance. When it comes to all aspects of governing, all must adapt a collective approach.

Democracy as a form of government can never work for that reason only. People, in a actual democracy, would be too fractured because of self-interest and self-belief to effect proper governance. That is why people, through the proper Representative process, must provide consent to those who govern us.

On a personal note, I can attest due to experience how difficult it was to organize legal reform meetings in Virginia. I advocated a simple measure that I thought anyone and everyone would agree on: banning practicing attorneys from legislative and executive electable office.

Yet, despite this being basic common sense or so I thought, I could not get any cohesive support on this from the rank and file. Too many were using the legal reform meetings to get assistance for their own legal matters. Others had their own "pet peeves" and specific agenda that they wanted to advance.

There were also those who actually believed in the concept of a "ruling class" and only wanted mend certain aspects of the practices of the "legal profession". Of course there were those who had affiliation with BAR attorneys and they did not want to "step on anyone's toes". They merely attended the meetings to express grudges against certain members of the "legal fraternity" and do their politicking. However, when it came to advocating comprehensive solutions, they were never "on board".

It became painfully clear that there will never be a grassroots direct democratic solution to the tyranny by the BAR "Lawyer-Lobbyist Regime". I had already known that elites in business, healthcare, and in other fields would not co-opt on genuine legal reform. I was disappointed that the average American could not see the real problems despite it being right in front of them.

As already cited, people need to focus on the "Greater Good" for all local, state, and national citizens. No one should be focused solely or primarily on their own specific individual, group, and/or specific race/ethnic issues.
