Commentary On Elections-Part Three
The age requirements for voters of federal and state legislators respectively should be the same as for voters of electors who choose federal and state head executives respectively. Both legislators and electors are chosen by the electorate through electoral popular voting.
The age requirement for voters of federal legislators should be 23 (the age in which an individual can no longer be declared a dependent) and for voters of state legislators should be 21 (the age in which an individual is old enough to consume alcohol beverages in a public setting). The age requirement for voters of electors for federal head executives should be 23 (the age in which an individual can no longer be declared a dependent) and for voters of electors for state head executives should be 21 (the age in which an individual is old enough to consume alcohol beverages in a public setting).
If voters were to directly choose state and federal head executives, then their age requirement would be higher than it would be for voters for state and federal legislators respectively. However since voters are only supposed to vote for buffers in the elections of the head executives at the state and federal level, their age requirements has to be the same as the age requirements of voters for state and federal legislators respectively.
Cliff notes Version: The age requirements for voters of federal and state legislators respectively should be the same as for voters of electors who choose federal and state head executives respectively.
