Permanent Solutions to the Israel-Palestine Quagmire: Part Six
Permanent Solutions to the Israel-Palestine Quagmire: Part Six
For peace and equity to be achieved in the Israel/Palestinian region, the following must be implemented:
1. The forcible expulsion of Palestinians from homes and villages through the West Bank must be stopped.
3. A peaceful negotiated solution with Palestinians that gives them full rights as citizens of a new nation. At the same time, all Israeli citizens must be citizens of equal status as well. All people residing in that entire region must be full-fledged citizens of that new nation.
4. Get rid of its Zionist philosophy and instead become one nation, one law, and one people. In addition, all Islamic supremacy components in governance must be removed.
5. Halt all immigration for the next seven years. After that, The Right To Return will be gradually extended to those who can prove at least of half of their antecedents were forcibly evacuated by the Zionist State Of Israel. It has to be capped at 100,000 per annum for the first five years and then double that for the following five years. People in the refugee camps in neighboring nations must be given first priority. No voting rights will be extended to these returnees until after the completion of seven years of their stay in that new nation.
6. From the date of Independence of this new nation, halt all national/central/federal elections for ten years and halt all municipal elections for five years. A decade is needed for that new nation to write and adapt a new constitution which protects the universal rights of all its citizens in an uniform manner.
7. All settlements presently deemed illegal must be deemed legal in the new nation provided it does not exceed a certain size. All housing should be decided by the government on a need basis. It is going to take socialist measures for about a decade in order to transform an Apartheid system into a functional secular nation.
8. Any and all Israeli settlers accused of violent activity must have the hearing of such cases expedited so that all cases are adjudicated prior to the independence of the new nation. A tribunal consisting of Israelis and Palestinians should handle such cases. The U.N. should send observers to monitor all hearings.
9. France and Russia must provide security in the ten year phase-in period from the date of independence of this new secular nation till the date of total sovereignty of this new secular republic. China and India must provide assistance to this new nation in the establishment and maintenance of its administrative rule during this decade phase-in period. The U.N. must be allowed to monitor all activities by the four nations in this interim time span.
10.The State of Israel, which is a nation, and the State of Palestine, which is still only an autonomous Republic, must merge to form a new nation with a new name that is neither Jewish, Arabic, or Islamic in character. Canaan would be a good choice. Hebrew and Arabic would be the national languages.
