The Filling Of Vacancies For Vice-Mayor/Vice-County Chairman:
If a vacancy for Vice-Mayor/Vice-County Chairman occurs before his/her term expires, then that office remains vacant until the next legislative session convenes.The Mayor or County Chairman assumes that office's duties to go along with his/her own until the next legislative session. At the time of the next legislative session, the lawful process of choosing the next Vice-Mayor/Vice-County Chairman begins.
If that vacancy occurs during a current legislative session, then the Mayor/County Chairman also acts as Vice-Mayor/Vice-County Chairman for the remainder of the current session. During the current legislative session, the lawful process of choosing the next Vice-Mayor/Vice-County Chairman begins
