Representative Democratic Model- Selectable Offices Part Fifteen State Trial Court Judges-(Session Two)
The Vice-Mayor/Vice-County Chairman must announce to the local legislature the candidates for State Trial Court Judge. Each legislator should submit his/her bid to the Vice-Mayor/Vice-County Chairman for his/her tabulation. The Vice-Mayor/Vice-County Chairman is supposed to reveal the bid results publicly and then should send the list of the three top bid recipients to the Governor. If there is a tie for third place, the Mayor/County Chairman must be authorized to break the tie.
Once the Governor receives the list of the three choices, he/she should submit his/her nomination to the State Senate for confirmation.
If the majority of State Senators, provided the necessary quorum limits have been met, confirms the Governor's nomination, then that nominated individual would become the next State Trial Court Judge. If there was a tie in the confirmation process, the Vice-Governor could cast a vote for that nominee in order to obtain confirmation.
The local government should be allowed to participate in the nomination of the State Trial Court Judge. Their empowerment is required in order for these judicial selections to be in accordance to the Representarian ideal. Private organizations, state and local executive agencies, and the judiciary should have no part in either the nomination or selection process of judges at any level.
