HEALTHCARE PROVISIONS IN DIFFERENT DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC GOVERNMENT MODES- PART FOUR

HEALTHCARE PROVISIONS IN DIFFERENT DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC GOVERNMENT MODES- PART FOUR

In both the Direct Democratic Republic Mode and the Representative Democratic Republic Mode, it is understood that no individual should suffer health-wise due to lack of healthcare treatment. No civilized society should allow this to happen.

In the Direct Democratic Mode, the public sector would have a monopoly of healthcare services. This wholesale government takeover would only hinder the quality of healthcare. It would give individuals less autonomy over their bodies.

In the Representative Democratic Mode, the public sector would serve as a back-up for those who could not access private healthcare. The healthcare would be of standard quality and no patient would ever be subject to malpractice, negligence, or harm.

The current problem with public health policy is public money is going into private hands. This is tantamount to corruption. Public money and resources should stay in public hands as much as possible. This is to preserve as much accountability as possible.

There should be separate facilities for public healthcare recipients. The choice of healthcare provider may be limited but since care would be standard, is that really that important? While the complete medical malpractice system needs to be overhauled to protect both provider and consumer, any civil claim against a specific healthcare provider would be taken care of by government.

Public healthcare would not preferable to private healthcare as an individual would cede control to the proper government bureaucracy. However, there is a saying that something better than nothing.

Separate facilities are a must so that taxpayer's resources are used properly. Government bureaucracy must have certain and proper control on how this money is spent and how the HC providers operate so that corruption and abuse are kept to a minimum.
