Israel First Conducted Full-Scale Ground Invasion Of Gaza In 2014! Wars Are Won When Territories Are Permanently Seized

Most Americans are not aware that Israel did actually wage war against its own Gazan territorial subjects in 2014. On July 7th, 2014, Hamas launched 40 rockets into Israel after they accused Israel of using an airstrike to destroy one of their tunnels. The BBC and a reputable American author Nathan Thrall substantiated Hamas' claim.

On July 8th, 2014, Israel started to pound Gaza. Nine days later, Israel began a full-scale ground invasion. After 19 days of invasion, Israel retreated. A ceasefire was announced that was open ended three weeks after the retreat.

While 65% of Hamas' rocket arsenal was destroyed by the IDF or depleted by Hamas in 2014, the IDF were repelled by the military wing of Hamas and its allies. Over 2000 Gazans were killed while 160 Israelis lost their lives. While both sides claimed victory, it must be noted that Hamas and allies are much better equipped to withstand another Israeli invasion than last time.

Wars are won when the military conquers territory. America has not really done so since WW2 with the exception of the Gulf Wars. While Israel is very powerful in terms of air force, reconnaissance, and specialized elite forces, they cannot sustain presently a territory conquering military effort against Gaza. If Hezbollah and even Iran helps Hamas, the Israeli military invasion of that "slave colony" will not materialize into a triumphant vision. Israel must strive for a cease-fire as quickly as possible.
