Representative Democratic Model- Selectable Offices Part Five
The differences between the choosing and the terms of the Federal Chief Prosecutor, currently known as the Attorney General, and the Head Executive of the Federal Bureau Of Investigation (FBI).
1. The nominated Federal Chief Prosecutor has to receive a majority of votes from the federal lower legislative body for confirmation while the nominated FBI executive head has to receive a majority of votes from the federal upper legislative body for confirmation. The Federal FBI's Office is closer to the People than the Federal Chief Prosecutor's Office so the choosing of its head need not be as stringent as the choosing of Federal Chief Prosecutor.
2. The Federal FBI Head Executive can be reconfirmed twice while the Federal Chief Prosecutor can only be reconfirmed once. Since the Federal FBI Head Executive is closer to the people, they are entitled to lesser term limits.
3. Upon reconfirmation, the Federal FBI Head Executive will need majority approval from the federal upper legislative house while the Federal Chief Prosecutor will need 55% approval from the federal lower legislative house.
4. The term for the Federal FBI Head Executive should be a year less than the term for Federal Chief Prosecutor. Since the Federal Chief Prosecutor is less directly connected to the People than the Federal FBI Head Executive, they should serve a longer term.
5. The U.S. House Of Representatives should confirm the Head of the Federal Chief Prosecutor's Office. It must be noted however that the U.S. Vice-President is, according to the U.S. Constitution, the President Of The U.S. Senate (an area-based democratic legislative body. The U.S. Senate is more shielded from the People than the population-based U.S. House Of Representatives).
Therefore, the VPOTUS is supposed to do the nomination of such.
The nomination of candidates carries far more weight than the confirmation. Therefore due to the fact that the VPOTUS is more insulated than the POTUS, the VPOTUS should nominate the Federal Chief Prosecutor because that position is more insulated from the People than the position of Head Executive of the Federal FBI Office.
6. While the majority of members of the US Senate confirms the head executive of the Federal FBI, the U.S. President must first provide the nominee. The nomination of that candidate carries far more weight than the confirmation. Therefore due to the fact that the POTUS is more connected to the People than the VPOTUS, the POTUS should nominate the Federal FBI Head Executive because that position is more connected to the People than the position of Head Executive of the Federal Chief Prosecutor Office.
Cliff Notes Version: The differences between the choosing and the terms of these two positions are due to the following reason: the position of Federal Chief Prosecutor is more insulated from the People than the position of Federal FBI Head Executive, which is a position more closely connected to the People.
