Representative Democratic Model- Selectable Offices Part Two

Representative Democratic Model- Selectable Offices Part Two

Federal law enforcement should be bifurcated into two separate and distinct departments. The Federal Bureau Of Investigation (FBI) should help promote public safety. The FBI should additionally investigate any possible crimes and indict if necessary. If an indictment is issued, the federal Department Of Justice, headed by the Attorney General, takes over and if necessary tries to obtain an conviction. This separation is necessary to comply with the ideals of "Divided Governance".

The President should no longer nominate both the heads of these law enforcement departments. If a President Of The United States (POTUS) is currently suspected of committing a crime, it would be a conflict of interest if he/she was prosecuted by the same individual that POTUS nominated to head the federal Department Of Justice. Therefore the VPOTUS should nominate the head executive of the prosecutorial law enforcement Department Of Justice while the POTUS should nominate the head executive of the public safety and investigative law enforcement,

Cliff Notes Version: Federal law enforcement should be separated into two departments. One department focuses on public safety and investigative law enforcement. The other department focuses on prosecutorial law enforcement.

The President should no longer nominate both the heads of these executive departments due to conflicts of interests.
