For the re-election of the President Of The U.S. Senate (VPOTUS) to occur, this incumbent VPOTUS must obtain more than 55% votes from electors in order to retain his/her position as president of the federal upper house.

If the re-elected VPOTUS incumbent cannot procure 55% ballot support from VPOTUS electors, the majority of members (quorum limits being met) of the U.S. House of Representatives will choose this officeholder out of the Top Two vote-getting candidates from the federal VPOTUS selection by VPOTUS electors.
