Representative Democratic Model- Selectable Offices Part Fourteen Locality Bureaucracy-

Representative Democratic Model- Selectable Offices Part Fourteen Locality Bureaucracy-

The following, but not limited to, "cabinet-type" positions should be subject to both Mayoral/County Chairman nomination and local legislative confirmation. All these positions belong to the executive branch of the local government. The people in these positions should receive their paycheck from the local government.

1. Clerk of the Circuit Court
2. City Or County Manager
3. Revenue Commissioner and/or Treasurer
4. School Board (The Mayor/County Chairman nominates a candidate in a specific district. The local legislature confirms)

The remaining positions in local government bureaucracy can be appointed by the preceding officeholders and their appointees.

The reason why those four officeholders listed need local legislative confirmation is they are "cabinet-type" departments who have autonomous authority. Those four officeholders, if not more "cabinet-type" officeholders, are therefore responsible to fill the remaining positions on their own.

Cliff Notes Version: Main officeholders are autonomous "cabinet-type" positions so they need legislative confirmation. Those main officeholders are responsible for staffing the remainder of the bureaucracy.
