The Differences Between Dictatorship And Tyranny-Part Four
Dictatorship, on a temporary basis, can be used to correct the ills that a flawed democracy causes. A prime example of this would have been the 2020 Presidential elections. President Trump could have stayed in The Oval Office as President, citing that numerous laws were broken in the conduct of the election and that these violations prevented proper transparency in the choosing of the winner.
While the federal legislatures, state legislatures, and state executive branches disagreed with President Trump's allegation of wholesale election fraud, it was clear that these politicians in key battleground states were compromised with conflicts of interest.
There are unjust laws as there are unjust men. There are going to be occasions though in which dictatorship is necessary just to enforce the basic and legitimate law, despite what all the elected representatives and even the electorate desire.
In the Presidential elections of 2020, the electorate was not allowed to clearly speak as lawfully required because of all the controversies and lack of safeguards. President Trump was well within his right to stay on in office until all laws guaranteeing compliance to free and fair elections were met.
