Cuba And Its Castro Effect;Warning To Humanity-Part II (A Harsha Sankar Article)

                                                              May 4th, 2017

Fulgencio Batista (predecessor to Cuba) may have been corrupt by being on the take of foreign business interests'. He may have repressed staunch political rivals. Yet he and his government did not even come close to trying to control all economic, educational, and social activities throughout Cuba. Batista did not have a vast network of political operatives who sought to monitor all the discussions and activities by the entire populace for possible expression of criticisms. When Castro came to power,"snitches" were located on every street corner and in every building to do just that. Forgets speaking out, numerous people have been imprisoned, tortured, psychiatrically abused, and even executed for not expressing enthusiastic support for Castro, his government, his party, or his policies.

Batista definitely pocketed as well taxpayer money to a certain extent. At least under his regime 65% of Cuba's of its budget was not earmarked for the military as it is now. Now the only nation that could ever pose a military threat to that island prison is America. Both Fidel and his brother knew fully well that if America wanted it, its military could bring Cuba "to its knees" in a matter of days if not hours. So why does Cuba now spend such an inordinate amount on its military? To control and terrorize all 11 million people into submission.

To those who claim that Castro was a champion of race and sexual preference equality, please read the following.
1.Castro executed gays just for being gay.
2.The Cuban rubberstamp legislature is .08% Black. Cuba's prison population is 80% black. The Black population in Cuba is 9.3%.

Why was America so obsessed about regime change on the other side of the globe but it never pursued such a policy after Kennedy? While immediate military overthrow would not have been the solution, America could have persuaded the USSR and Venezuela that Castro was merely a king in communist clothing only. America could have persuaded those two "Sugar Daddies" to abandon the Castro dictatorship. America could have reached out to the Cuban people to disbelieve the Castro propaganda through leaflets and radio transmissions. Yet as America encroached into Eastern Europe and the Middle East, they ignored its biggest responsibility; freeing the Cuban people from the imprisonment of the Castro government and party.

Cuba, once the Jewel of the Caribbean, has been an island prison just floats just 90 miles from the US for six decades. America's failure to act on its front porch is its biggest foreign policy neglect.

Cuba and its Castro Effect;Warning To Humanity-Part 1 (A Harsha Sankar Article)

                                            January 3rd, 2017

2016 marks the death of Fidel Castro,Cuba's tyrannical leader for nearly 6 six decades. For any of those who I feel are misguided in not denouncing him, please read the following.

The Castro Regime executed by firing squad a minimum of 17.000 people. It is estimated that at least 20,000 to 30,000 people died in his prisons. Castro's Cuba has more political prisoners per capita than Hitler's Germany or Stalin's Soviet Union.

Free healthcare and education mean nothing when one has become enslaved. Many healthcare indicators were actually better before the Castros took over Cuba. When Blacks were enslaved in the US, were they not the recipients of free healthcare,of room and board,of free "training", and were they not guaranteed a job? One gets the point.

Nikita Khrushchev denounced Stalin by stating that Communism was never about one-man rule. Most Soviet Communists felt that a communist government should be a dictatorship by revolving committee. Yet what was Castro? Was he not a "One-Man Ruler"?Where was the revolving door in Cuba? There was none.

At least with Castro's predecessor, right-wing dictator Fulgencio Batista, there was economic freedom. Cuba prior to Castro had a thriving middle class and it was a hub of significant economic activity for both North American and South American nations. People used to flee Jamaica, Haiti, and other poor Caribbean nations to Cuba to take advantage of its prosperity.

This is my first installment on Fidel Castro and his impact on Cuba,America, and the rest of humanity. Stay tuned for next month's installment of my depiction of this tyrannical dictator.
