Electoral System Should Be Extended To Municipalities- A Harsha Sankar Article

Dear Citizen,                                                                          December 30th ,2018

As the 2018 elections concluded, it is obvious that matters would improve significantly if we banned dual participation in government and if we had verifiable and traceable elections.

However, this letter will address another topic. Virginia should adopt the electoral system for its counties and cities! All entities, either a city or county, should have electoral votes based on their population.

If a candidate wins the plurality or majority of that entities' vote, that candidate should receive the assigned electoral votes.
Currently 3-4 cities and a few counties are deciding elections in Virginia. Why should a state candidate even campaign in S.W or Central Virginia at all when they can win Alexandria, Arlington,Loudon County, and Norfolk to win the entire state?

Unless Virginia adapts an electoral system, non-Virginians who only came to the State as adults will continue to dominate Virginia's political scene. Professional politicians can use Virginia as a springboard for their political careers despite not having any real ties to the state and its people.

Even in congressional and even state government races, the electoral system can be used so that the winner of each locality or even precinct get the "electoral votes". After all, America is supposed to be a republic maintained by representative democracy and not by a direct democracy. Scoring margins should not matter.

                                                                          Very Truly Yours,

Tyranny Cannot Succeed Unless The People Are Accomplices- A Harsha Sankar Article

Dear Citizen,                                                       November 2018

In S.W. Virginia, a well-connected attorney-politician(State Senator Creigh Deeds), represented by a well-connected attorney(officer of the court), who also has strong ties with the State Police, gets a very favorable extorted settlement!

No one can feel safe with self-serving settlements such as this. It propagates vigilante justice and nihilism and it only robs vital and scarce resources that should be used for better, just, and productive purposes. Massive profiteering should be considered treason.

To have a robbed a bank or to have committed a major heist of a precious commodity, it would have been more noble.

Judicial actions such as these prove that our nation is being ruled by an organized criminal syndicate. It also proves that institutionalized and legalized corruption is a far greater threat to our nation than the acts of any terrorist or underworld figure.
Many have detested the intimidating authority used to perpetuate such high levels of tyranny, graft, and corruption by jurists in America. However, the fear of recrimination has compelled them to silence. Silence is slavery and when that happens, freedoms are destroyed.

Yet so many support this attorney-politician. The base of support is what keeps people, especially in their constituency, thoroughly enslaved. They put him on a pedestal and no one cannot get through to them. These kleptocratic measures are truly a social evil! This is BAR despotism and anarcho-tyranny at its best.

                                                                     Very Truly Yours,

                                                                      Harsha Sankar
